WHY THE NAME AUGUST?
The store was named August by the original owner Jenna August Zerbo.  Jenna chose named it after her grandfather, August Zerbo, who emigrated from Italy to Detroit, Michigan in 1927. 

When I bought the store from Jenna, I fell in love with the name August, and to honor her and her grandfather I chose to keep the name.  Being born in the month of August as well, it was a perfect fit.


WHERE DO YOU FIND YOUR ANTIQUES?
All around the world! We travel all over to flea markets, estate sales, garage sales, sides of the road, auctions, and probably your great-aunt Pearl’s attic. If you’d like us to keep an eye out for something special for you, just send us a note at maggie@augustshop.us with the particulars and we’d be happy to start digging.


DO YOU ACCEPT PRODUCTS ON CONSIGNMENT?
If we love it, we want to buy it outright. We do not accept items on consignment, but if you are interested in selling an item, please drop me a line at maggie@augustshop.us and we’ll discuss next steps.


DO YOU SHIP?
We do! Shipping rates vary for the size and nature of the piece. Often we will tack on $10-20 to the cover the shipping and packing for an average sized piece, but for paintings, furniture, etc. the rates vary significantly and we will contact you to discuss the cost.


I HAVE SOMETHING I'D LIKE APPRAISED. CAN I BRING IT IN?
While I’d love to see your treasures and imagine their value, I am not an accredited appraiser and do not accept formal appraisals on any basis.


I MAKE MY OWN PRODUCTS AND WOULD LOVE TO SELL THEM IN YOUR STORE. HOW DO I DO THAT?
Let’s talk! We love meeting new brands and would be delighted to see what you have available. We are interested in collaborations, exclusives, and products that are not mass-produced in any way. Please send linesheets, pricing, minimums, etc. to maggie@augustshop.us.
